FAQs

  • No, you do not need to be a current student or alumni in order to apply to the Tech Bootcamps.

  • If you’re interested in the UNM Continuing Education Tech Bootcamps and not sure which program is right for you, we recommend scheduling a call with one of our Student Advisors. They can provide you with more information about the curriculum and the roles you’ll be prepared for in each bootcamp, such as Data Analyst (Data Analytics), Platform Engineer (DevOps), Cybersecurity Analyst (Cyber), and Product Manager (Product Management).

Once you have a sense of what you want your future career to look like, identify if studying part-time or full-time is best for you. From there, apply to your program of choice (no prep required). Next, our Admissions team can help you advance in the process and even help you switch programs if you change your mind (e.g., Data to DevOps).

  • You do need to provide your own computer for the bootcamp. It can be a laptop or desktop as long as it meets minimum tech specifications. We highly recommend Apple computers for our program, however, it is possible to use Windows with some modifications. You must have at least MacOS 10.15 or newer or Windows 10. Because the bootcamp is live-online, you are required to have a webcam and microphone in order to participate in class.

At this time, the Apple M1 and M2 processors, Qualcomm Snapdragon, and other ARM-based processors are not compatible with the Cybersecurity program.
